Pick Up This Guy Now! And More Moves For You To Consider

Between Deshaun Watson moving to IR and Jimmy Garoppolo moving to San Fransisco, once again the fantasy landscape has shifted. There’s one guy you should ultimately pickup right now..

Pick Up 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin

Goodwin hasn’t had a terrible year with the currently 0-8 49ers. He’s put up 20 catches for 349 yards on 46 targets primarily as the 49ers #2 WR with Hoyer and rookie QB C.J. Beathard slinging him the rock. However, things have changed drastically for Goodwin. While HC Kyle Shanahan has said there’s no guarantee Garoppolo plays this year, that’s just false. The 49ers sent a 2nd round pick, likely a top 3 pick in round 2 for Garoppolo, who’s in the final year of his contract. To say he may not play this year would make no sense. They need to see what they have in Jimmy G in order to re-sign him. I fully intend to see Jimmy G under center next week which bodes well for Goodwin. What bodes even better for Goodwin is the 49ers placing WR Pierre Garcon on IR. Goodwin now moves to the #1 role and has a solid QB throwing to him. Goodwin’s a former olympic track star with 4.27 speed and is owned currently in just 9% of Yahoo leagues. Grab him NOW.

Pick Up 49ers TE George Kittle

Look, he’s not going to be your stud TE but a lot of teams will be on bye next week so if you need him, he’s currently owned in just 10% of Yahoo leagues. He too will have Jimmy Garoppolo at QB next week and a quarterback who’s not familiar with the offense’s best friend is the tight end. Kittle has shown flashes this year and has been targeted 9, 8, 2 and 4 times over the last 4 games.

Think Twice About Starting Texans WR Will Fuller

Fuller has gone absolutely insane since coming back from injury and has likely turned your fantasy season around if it wasn’t looking too good to begin with. A lot of Fuller’s success was tied to Deshaun Watson’s incredible play. If you remember last year, the Texans offense was very poor with Osweiler at QB. Tom Savage, the new Texans quarterback who has ZERO career passing touchdowns, is very similar to Osweiler. DeAndre Hopkins likely remains a start but his ceiling is much lower on a week to week basis going forward. As for Fuller, I’d say plug him in anyway this week but be cautious.

Pick Up Jets RB Matt Forte

I advocated for this last week and I still stand by it. The Jets are not as bad as we thought they would be and Forte refuses to go away. Forte scored 2 touchdowns Thursday night against a good Bills team. Since returning from his 2 week absence, Forte has now had weeks of 12.10, 10.70, 8.20 and 23.60 points (.5 PPR format). Forte is certainly worth rostering and is a formidable fill in option at this point.

Cut Cowboys RB Darren McFadden

Look, if you’ve held onto McFadden for this long you’ve probably grown very frustrated with the whole Zeke Elliott situation. Just when it seemed like Elliott was actually down and out, reports surfaced that Alfred Morris would be the starter and Rod Smith would be the #2 behind him leaving McFadden as the #3. The value is no longer there with McFadden. Sure, if Elliott is in fact suspended for good in the very near future, McFadden could prove he should be the #1 guy with the limited carries he’s likely to receive in that first game but that’s a lot of hurdles to overcome there. McFadden is currently owned in 43% of Yahoo leagues, it’s time to let him go.
